Nursing in public and babywearing go hand-in-hand. You can nurse in virtually any kind of carrier. I’ve assembled a collection of how-to videos to make your nursing in public experience even easier. It’s also great for around the house, most babies love to be worn an it can allow you to get some work done or look after older children.
Breastfeeding your Newborn in a Ringsling
Ringslings are one of my favourite ways to babywear. Its quick, easy and comfortable. There’s not a ton of fabric to deal with like there is with a wrap, so Its something you can shove in your purse or diaper bag (or glovebox) and slip on quickly.
This is a great video which shows how easy it is to nurse your newborn baby on the go in the ringsling. The video doesn’t have sound, but it’s pretty clear how it works. If you are interested in covering up while nursing in the ringsling, you can take the tail and wrap it around the baby and your breast. This should be done for your comfort only!
